School Overview

This page has been designed to provide you with a snapshot of current attainment and this year’s progress at a whole school level, along with detailing various factors that may have an impact on that attainment and progress picture.

To access School Overview simply click on Schools in the menu and then select School Overview on the right hand side of the page.

If you are assigned to more than one school, all of the schools you have access to will be displayed. You can simply select the overview of the school you wish to view data for.

Scrolling Newsreel

System administrators can send messages via the system which appear in a scrolling newsreel across the top of the screen:

How you choose to use this is up to you. You could pass messages on about any upcoming key dates, when to update assessments or simply any information that you feel is important to be shared among your colleagues.

Gender and Attendance

The pie charts show the overall picture for your school. However, if you want to see a breakdown at cohort level for either of these factors, you can simply click on the details link below the chart.

Attendance can have a major impact on pupil attainment in school. These details charts enable you to drill down to find where there may be issues in attendance. Once you’ve identified a cohort with particularly poor attendance you can then use the Class Overview pages to further narrow down the search and identify individuals you may need to work with in order to improve attendance overall.

Contextual Groups

You can see the percentage of the total pupils on roll for each of your core contextual groups at a glance:

By clicking on one of the boxes, you will be able to see exactly which pupils are in that group. You can then get further information broken down by cohort by clicking on Group Sub-Stats:

Tracking

In this section you can see the current attainment and progress made this year averaged out on a cohort by cohort basis. For each of the Progression Steps within each of the Areas of Learning and Experience (AOLEs), you will see a bar showing where the pupils were at the start of the year (the blue portion of the bar) and the progress that they have made this year (the yellow portion). You can also use the three buttons above the bars to switch between the progress bars (Chart), the numbers behind those bars (% Breakdown), and the learning stage attainment profile – emerging, developing, secure etc. (Stage).

Clicking on any of the Progression Steps for the selected cohort will show you a breakdown of attainment and progress for the different contextual groups within that cohort. This will enable you to identify contextual groups that may be struggling (for example identifying a gender gap in attainment) so that you can then put steps in place to try and close that gap.

The Stage view, pictured above, enables you to identify Areas where attainment isn’t as strong as the others, so that you can then put steps in place to try and improve attainment for that group. You can also see where you can possibly focus more attention in order to stretch your more able pupils and embed their knowledge and skills.

Once you have identified an Area to focus on, you can drill down further into the data to identify next steps for them. Please see the Individual Area Summaries section on Pupil Overview for more details.

Staff

At the bottom of the page, you will find a list of all the staff with active accounts on your Taith360. Any admin users in your school will be listed in bold, enabling you to find admin users quickly and easily.
