Pupil Overview
On the Pupils section of Taith360 you can access each of the pupils in your school and view the pupil on a page – detailed tracking information along with a variety of factors that may have an impact on that pupil’s learning journey in your school.
The information is collected from various sources, such as your Management Information System, or ‘MIS’ (SIMS, Teacher Centre etc.) for group and attendance info, as well as pulling through information from the attainments you record against the descriptions of learning (DOLs). The data available on Pupils enables you to plan for, track, and monitor each of your pupils.
If you have connected Taith360 with your ‘MIS’, then the data displayed for your pupils, groups, and attendance will automatically update overnight, meaning you are seeing the most up to date information on screen.

Additional Pupil Details

This section gives a summary of the pupil’s personal details including name, class, DOB and year group. You can also see a quick view of their current attitude to learning and wellbeing scores.
Contextual Groups

All contextual groups (FSM, EAL etc.) that a pupil is in are displayed here.
If you connect Taith360 to your MIS, this information syncs automatically.
Attainment
In this section you can view a pupil’s progress through each of the areas for all progression steps. Each of the progress bars is split into three colours:
- Blue – combined progress over previous years.
- Yellow – progress made in the current academic year.
- White – Potential progress
A ‘full bar’ is not the target here, and the percentage displayed is not intended for use as a label.
If a pupil is Embedded in every description of learning in an area at a particular progression step, that bar will be 100% filled. Any combination of attainments therein will then affect the percentage displayed. However, it is not necessary to complete a progression step before moving onto the next. Indeed it is unlikely that a bar will ever be 100% full – if a pupil is mostly secure with elements of embedded in a progression step, it is likely that your focus will now be on the next progression step, and there is no need to retro-fill the previous step.

By viewing a pupil’s progression through all areas side-by-side, you can quickly see where a pupil is doing particularly well or needs additional support.
Many pupils will be working across multiple progression steps within an area. It is also not necessary to back-fill assessments if previous progression steps are blank.
You can also use the three buttons above the bars to switch between the progress bars (Chart), the numbers behind those bars (% Breakdown), and the learning stage attainment profile – emerging, developing, secure etc. (Stage).

This Stage view enables you to identify Areas where attainment isn’t as strong as the others, so that you can then put steps in place to try and close that gap. You can also see where you can possibly focus more attention in order to stretch your pupils and embed their knowledge and skills.
Once you have identified an Area to focus on, you can drill down further into the data to identify next steps for them. Please see the Individual Area Summaries section further down this page for more details.
Attendance

The attendance section gives a summary of a pupil’s overall attendance and number of times late. Comments can be added by clicking on the ‘Add Comment’ button. Each comment is time and date stamped and will appear chronologically in the scroll, allowing you to build a picture of how attendance is impacting upon learning. Comments can be deleted by clicking on the red X next to each comment.
Attitude to Learning
Attitude to Learning (ATL) ratings can be recorded on Class Overview – please see Class Overview.
Once recorded, the summary graph on Pupil Overview will begin to populate. As you build on your ATL judgements over time, more points will be added chronologically. If any comments are made at the point of recording, these will also show in this section, and hovering your mouse over a comment will highlight the rating on the chart.

Additional comments not linked to a rating can be made by clicking on ‘Add Comment’. Comments are date stamped and displayed chronologically to help build a picture of each pupil’s development. They can be removed by clicking on the red X next to each comment.
A summary of each pupil’s individual attitude to learning history can be viewed from the pupil list on the Pupil page’s top menu. Click on the pupil’s current rating (Poor, Satisfactory, Good, or Excellent) to be taken to this page. Historical judgements can be filtered by subject, value and the recording teacher’s name. Comments made at the point of recording are also be displayed on this page.
Wellbeing
Wellbeing can be recorded on Class Overview – please see Class Overview.
Once recorded, the summary graph on Pupil Overview will begin to populate. As you record wellbeing, more points will be added chronologically. If any comments are made at the point of recording, these will also show in this section, and hovering your mouse over a comment will highlight the data point on the chart.

Additional comments not linked to recording can be made by clicking on ‘Add Comment’. Comments are date stamped and displayed chronologically to help build a picture of each pupil’s development. They can be removed by clicking on the red X next to each comment.
All previous wellbeing assessments can be viewed for a pupil by clicking on the icon in the wellbeing column on the Pupil page’s top menu.
Pupil Input

Pupils can add comments to this section to ensure that their voice forms a part of their assessments. Comments are date stamped and appear in chronological order to build a picture of each pupil’s learning journey. To add a pupil comment, click on Add Comment.
Individual Area Summaries

Individual summaries for each area can be accessed using the link at the top of the Pupil Overview page.

The chart at the top of the page shows the pupil’s progress through each of the statements of what matter at each step.

Prev/Next Stages shows the pupil’s current assessment and next step for each description of learning. Any descriptions of learning that have been added to a plan in the current academic year is marked with a red flag in the right-most column.
The descriptions of learning can be filtered by step, stage, and whether they are included in a plan. Descriptions of learning can also be searched for using the search bar at the top of each section. Simply type a keyword and the system will display any descriptions of learning that include the keyword.
Use Collapse All/Expand All to quickly show or hide all descriptions of learning.
All evidence for the area is displayed at the foot of the page. Evidence is added using Track – please see Tracking.
