Generating Reports

This guide describes the process of generating end-of-year reports to parents in Taith360.

Although there is a default report layout installed on Taith360, you can have your own report templates designed, created and installed on the system. Simply contact Support to start the design process for your school.

Generating Reports

Select Reports and then Reports to parents.
Select either My Classes or All Classes.
Choose the Class and/or Year Group you are generating reports for.

If My Classes is selected in Step 2, only classes you are assigned to will be displayed in the Group dropdown.
If All Classes is selected, you will be able to choose from all of the classes currently in your school.

Specify a Start Date and End Date to be reported on.

By default, the date range selected will start with the 1st September for the current academic year, and go up to the following 31st August. However, this option enables you to determine the precise date range you are reporting on, and will ensure that only attainments and comments recorded within that date range will appear on the report. This means that you can report to parents multiple times during the year, without worrying about repetition of statements being sent home.

Set the maximum number of statements to be output for each Area of Learning.
Set the maximum number of targets to be output for each Area of Learning.

It is a good idea to generate more targets than you want on the final report sent out to parents. That way, once the report has been output to Word, you can simply remove any targets you don’t want, ensuring that the most poignant targets are what get sent home.
You will find instructions on how to remove targets further down this page.

Select which Students you want to generate reports for.

You can use the tick box to select/deselect all pupils in the selected class or cohort.
You can select or deselect individual pupils by either clicking on their name or on the circle associated with their name.
Click Generate Report.
When you generate your reports, you will automatically be redirected to Report Download. However, should you ever need to go back there at a later date, you can do so by selecting the option in the left hand menu.
Click the Download icon to output your reports ready for personalisation and printing/emailing.

Taith360 produces reports that are about ‘80% complete’ – there is still a vital personalisation stage. Taith360 creates reports in Word, so you can add examples, change wording, and remove anything you feel is unnecessary.

It is important to remember that the reports are a communication from the class teacher to the parent, so you should edit them before printing.

Removing Targets

Depending on how your template has been set up, you may simply be able to use the back space key on your keyboard to delete your targets, as you would with any normal MS Word document. However, in some cases, using the back space key will result in an empty row being left in your report. If this is the case, you can either contact us to update your template, or you can use the following process for removing target rows:

Right click on a target you don’t want to include in the report.
Select Delete Rows.
Repeat this process for all targets you wish to remove in the report.
