As we are now into the Summer Term, I wanted to get in touch to share some of the things we have recently been working on as well as to update you with some of the latest additions to the system.
Survey
We value all of your feedback and views, not only on Taith360 but also on wider curriculum issues. Therefore, we have put together a survey which we would really appreciate you taking the time to fill out.
The purpose of this survey is to gain insight into whether schools feel that the available guidance demonstrating how to assess and show progression through the curriculum is any clearer and identify areas that need further input.
What will we do with the information gathered?
• share the anonymised results of this survey with all participants
• feedback to Welsh Government where appropriate
• further develop our tracking and planning tools to meet the needs of Welsh schools
• further develop our training offerings to reflect the needs of Welsh schools
Your participation in this survey is greatly appreciated. Your insights will provide invaluable perspectives that could inform the development of assessment strategies and pathways for pupil progression in Wales.
The survey has now been closed. Thank you to all who participated.
Upcoming FREE training workshops
As part of our support to schools, we will be running a series of free training workshops around reporting to parents. The first set will focus on “Getting ready and template design” over the next few weeks, followed by sessions on “Generating reports”.
Please keep an eye out for emails containing details of these workshops as well as the links you can use to access them.
Reports to Parents
We have made several improvements to the reporting tools on Taith360 based upon feedback we received from schools involved in our focus groups*. These changes will make it easier than ever to produce accurate reports to send to parents and use in progress meetings. Here’s a recap of things we have recently added:
• Teacher Observations and report comments – start building a bank of comments to include in reports over the course of the year. The new ‘Teacher Observations’ section allows you to record general comments and area specific comments.
• Better control over what is included in reports – Comments on the Pupil Overview page can now be flagged for inclusion in both overview PDFs and reports generated using your customised Word templates. This lets you specify which comments you wish to share, and which are solely for your own reference.
• Set date ranges for reports to parents – when you generate your reports to parents, be they interim or end of year, you can now specify a date range. This means that the system will generate a report that only includes statements, targets, and comments from within the specified period. This makes it easier to create termly reports using the system.
*If you would be interested in joining our focus groups to have your say on the future of Taith360, please get in touch.
