With the new academic year well underway, I wanted to get in touch to update you about recent enhancements to Taith360. We have not only been working on adding new features to the system, but also improving on what is already there. Here\u2019s a little of what we have been doing\u2026<\/p>\n<\/div>

Fully Customisable Frameworks<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>

The system has always been aimed at using any data collected in a formative manner, ensuring that planning will always cater for each individual pupil\u2019s needs. It is because of this that we have added functionality to Taith360 to enable schools to completely re-write their assessment frameworks. This could be as little as simply tweaking the wording of a few descriptions of learning here and there to make them more pupil\/parent\/teacher friendly, right up to a complete overhaul of the assessment framework, starting from scratch.<\/p>\n

PDF Outputs<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>

One thing that has been asked of us many times is to make the information on Taith360 available in a printable and emailable format. Therefore, you can now export the details on the Pupil, Class and School Overview pages to a PDF document. This can be saved, then printed or emailed as required.<\/p>\n

Using the Reports tab, you can tailor the output to meet your needs by choosing which data to include, how that data is displayed, and whether to accompany that data with any comments that have been recorded for it.<\/p>\n

Primary to Secondary Transition<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>

Taith360 is intended to be used as a formative tool, highlighting strengths and weaknesses against the 3-16 learning continuum, providing schools with specific next steps of learning based on what each individual pupil\u2019s needs are. Using the tool can be invaluable in helping secondary schools ensure that the information sent to them from their feeder primaries will aid in addressing the well-known transition \u2018dip\u2019.<\/p>\n

We have another blog post, The Continuum of Learning \u2013 Primary to Secondary Transition<\/a>, which details some of the ways the system can help.<\/p>\n

If you are a primary school that has a secondary\/high school looking for this information but not using Taith360, or you are a secondary\/high school and your feeder schools are not using Taith360, please point them in our direction and we\u2019d be happy to arrange a demo of the system to show the benefits.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Training<\/p>\n<\/div>

As you will already know, we are always reviewing our practices, in both what the system delivers, and in how we can ensure that you make the most of it. To that end, we have updated our training offering.<\/p>\n

We will still be offering our 90-minute User Guide<\/a> sessions, and the three 45-minute modules <\/a>(Tracking and Next Steps, Planning and Coverage, and Progress and the Data Pages) that we have offered up until now, but we will also be enabling you to create your own bespoke package<\/a> to suit your needs. We have designed 15 individual training Units, and you can choose either three or five of those Units, to make up the training session that will best suit your school requirements.<\/p>\n

Also, you can now specify when the training takes place. There is a form for you to fill in, available from any of the training pages<\/a> on our website, which you can use to specify three possible dates and times that would be convenient for you and your staff. We can then use those dates to schedule in a training session to meet your availability.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Attitude to Learning updates<\/b><\/p>\n

We are adding flexibility into how you record Attitude to Learning for your pupils, such that you will be able to record this on an Area specific basis. This will mean that you can view the various attitudes to different Areas on the Pupil and Class Overview pages, and you will also be able to pull that information into your reports to parents.<\/p>\n

Reporting additions<\/b><\/p>\n

We have been working to improve the way you can produce reports from the system and, further to meetings with our focus groups, there is to be further development to the reporting process on Taith360. This includes:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Adding comments throughout the year that can be included on reports<\/p>\n

\u2022 Selecting which comments from the system to use for reporting<\/p>\n

\u2022 Specifying a date range to pull information from<\/p>\n
